Some students end up having a difficult time choosing a specific area of study, even when narrowing it down with all their research. Although APUS does not offer dual majors, we do offer optional features such as minors and certificate programs as additions to undergraduate programs.
Minors and certificates allow students to gain skills in a second area of study that compliments the main focus of a major. As an example, a military history major may select a minor in intelligence studies. A marketing major may select a certificate in web publishing. The combination of a major with a minor or
certificate will enable the student to expand thinking beyond a single discipline. If you consider adding a minor or certificate to your chosen degree plan, please contact your advising team for guidance.
