lessons tool include: PowerPoint presentations, journal articles, and/or links to outside websites. Not all professors use the ‘Lessons’ and ‘Resources’ tools; it is important to review your course syllabus to find out if the tools will be used in your class.

 The Assignments tool is used to keep track of the assignments you’ve completed in class. You may find

instructions for discussion boards, weekly assignments, and research papers. You will also use this section to upload assignments for grading.

 You will access any tests and/or quizzes you need to take through the Tests & Quizzes tool.

 The Gradebook tool is used to track your grades for each assignment you’ve completed. The grade book displays the grade you’ve earned on each assignment, test, quiz, or forum you’ve posted as well as the grade you’ve earned in the course so far. Once your professor has graded your work, you can click on the assignment through the gradebook to see if your professor has left you any

comments. It is important to keep an eye on your gradebook and to read your professor’s comments as the feedback you receive will help you develop throughout the course.
