GENERAL INFORMATION FOR GRADUATES
Commencement will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention
Center in National Harbor, Md. It will be a memorable event and an opportunity to assemble with faculty, staff, and
fellow graduates. The Office Alumni Affairs is planning a wonderful event that will honor your accomplishments and
make lasting memories.
If you are fully cleared for the Aug. 15, 2014; Nov. 15, 2014; Feb. 15, 2015; or May 15, 2015 conferral, you are invited to
attend commencement. Invitations to attend the ceremony are currently being sent via email to graduates who have
applied for one of the conferrals listed above. If you plan to attend, you must register by June 1, 2015. If you are eligible

GRADUATE CHECK-IN
EARLY CHECK-IN
Graduates can check-in early beginning on Thursday, June 11, 2015 in the Convention Center Main Atrium from 1:00
p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Early check-in will continue on Friday, June 12, 2015 in the Convention Center Main Atrium at 9:00
a.m. and will conclude at 8:00 p.m. You will be given a name card that will be used to recognize you during the
ceremony. Please verify your name pronunciation, degree, and hometown before you leave the check-in area. If you are
unable to participate in early check-in, please read the next section for more information on checking in the day of the
ceremony.
DAY OF CEREMONY CHECK-IN
Graduates should arrive at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center between 8:45 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. for
graduate check-in located in the Convention Center Main Atrium. University greeters and staff will be positioned
throughout the hotel to direct you and your guests to the ceremony and check-in locations. In order to be permitted to
the procession line-up area, please have photo identification available. You will be given a name card that will be used to
recognize you during the ceremony. Please verify your name pronunciation, degree, and hometown before you leave
the check-in area. Check-in will close at 9:45 a.m.
ACADEMIC SCHOOLS
Graduates will line up for the processional and be seated by academic school. Please review the list below and identify
your academic school by program. For programs not listed, please contact the Office Alumni Affairs prior to your arrival
