Undergraduate Students with Previous University Coursework

The first required course in all Associate and Bachelor’s programs is RQ295/COLL100-Foundations of Online Learning. This course will help you become familiar with our university, navigating your online campus, and much more. We realize you may have taken a similar introductory course at your previous institution; however, transfer credit is not awarded for this course as it is specific to our institution. You may submit a RQ295/COLL100 Waiver Request Form by clicking on ‘Other Forms’ under the ‘Forms Menu’ on the right hand side of your online campus. Keep in mind, a waiver for this course will only be approved if you have previous coursework from an online institution.

After this course, we recommend that you start by working on your remaining general education requirements. Your general education requirements are designed to be a foundation for the rest of your program. They will help you prepare for taking upper level coursework by providing you with the research, writing, and critical thinking skills needed to be successful. If you haven’t already, we recommend completing your English and literature requirements first as they will help prepare you with reading and writing skills that you’ll need to be successful in all classes. After completing your general education requirements, you can move on to your core, concentration, and/or your electives. Some degree programs recommend that the core and concentration courses be completed in a specific order. Please contact your advisor for more information if you are unsure of what courses to complete next.
