Now that you have a general idea of your likes, dislikes and interested

professions, you can kick your research up a notch! As an APUS student there are several resources provided to you through Career Services and Student Affair Departments.

Representatives in the Office of Student Affairs can provide information regarding mentoring, networking, and various student involvement opportunities. At any stage of career planning, it is recommended that you consider getting some related work experience to see if this is the direction you would like to take. Being able to actually work in a specific environment will only enhance your understanding and allow you to connect with professionals in that field! Aside from obtaining a degree, networking and knowing the right people are essentials in today’s competitive workforce.

The Office of Career Services offers a multitude of resources at every stage of career exploration. They are able to assist students in managing progress towards career goals, learning skills to successfully find employment, research intended fields, interview guidance, and will even help tweak your resume.
