General education courses are the cornerstone of a well-rounded education as the courses you take to fulfill your general education requirements are designed to introduce students to a broad range of topics before advancing to specific program requirement courses. We recommend students fulfill their English general education

requirements as early in their academic career as possible; we also recommend completing general education courses before registering for core, concentration and major courses.
